To all foreign visitors, we wish you a pleasant stay here in Palestine and to ensure a smooth swift stay please make sure to follow these guidelines:
- Please make sure to not carry any sharp objects when moving between governorates: this may include but is not limited to a lighter, phone charger, nail clippers, water bottles, canned drinks, plastic Tupperware, keys, key chains, and any book larger than 100 pages.
- Please make sure to have documentation proving you are a foreigner so you don't get arrested or harassed by the occupation
- Pictures of the separation wall and any IDF soldiers are not allowed; the rest of the world must not see
- Do not, kindly do not try to defend a Palestinian being beaten down in public by the IDF, unless you’d like to get some too.
- If you are going on a day trip, please make sure to carry extra money, a set of clothing, and a fully charged phone, as you may have to spend the night due to road closures.
- Kindly refrain from asking questions about the two-state solution, indeed, refrain from any public political conversation
- We can arrange for you to stay with a Palestinian family and have the full experience, nonetheless, that has its specific manual and guidelines that will be provided to you at a later time
About the Author
Rand is a 26-year-old Palestinian. She is the youngest of four children; she finished her undergraduate studies at Bir Zeit University, Ramallah, Palestine. During her university years, Rand grew more interested in the humanitarian structure and the Palestinian cause from a humanitarian point of view. Through volunteering and networking, rand received many pieces of training in crisis management, and emergency navigation, as well as, humanitarian structure, signature, and localization allowing her to employ her knowledge in her career and as a volunteer with many local and international humanitarian organizations. Moreover, rand is a very expressive artistic person who attempts to share her human experience through pen and brush. She is captivated by sunsets and Palestinian beauty.
